TEAM boss Carl Johnson believes Peterborough are capable of claiming SGB Championship revenge tonight (Friday).

The 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers entertain fellow play-off hopefuls Sheffield at the East of England Arena (7.30pm).

And they are desperate to avoid a repeat of last month's slip-up on home shale at the hands of the same opponents.

The Tigers sneaked a 48-45 success on that occasion but Johnson is keen to set the record straight and begin the second half of the campaign in style.

He said: "We are well aware of the fact that we have to make the second half of the season better than the first if we are to make the play-offs.

"We've got a busy spell of three meetings in as many days and we'll be looking to pick up results in all of them - and I believe we are capable of doing that.

"We've beaten very strong Glasgow and Ipswich sides at our place since slipping up against Sheffield and now the aim is to put that result right.

"We need to take points off teams above us in the table and Sheffield fall into that category."

Jack Holder returns to the number one spot for Peterborough tonight following his sizzling recent run of form.

Chris Harris, fresh from his top-scoring contribution for Great Britain in the World Cup, slots in at number five.

Peterborough, who sit 10 points off the play-off zone, are without Bradley Wilson-Dean due to an SGB Premiership fixture clash and have turned to Berwick man Kevin Doolan to deputise.

The trip to the East of England Arena is the third fixture in as many days for Sheffield.

They lost 52-38 at new SGB Championship leaders Ipswich on Wednesday before beating bottom side Berwick 51-42 at Owlerton last night.

They have injury problems at reserve with Robert Branford and recent signing Nathan Stoneman both expected to miss the rest of the season.

James Shanes steps in for Branford, but the Tigers management have not yet notified Panthers of who will occupy the number seven berth.

SHEFFIELD: Josh Bates, Lasse Bjerre, Josh Grajczonek, Kyle Howarth, Todd Kurtz, James Shanes (guest), Georgie Wood (guest).
