THUNDERCATS' Anglian Junior League programme has been halved – following a vote which was taken amongst the clubs and then ratified by the SCB.
The six competing teams were due to race each other twice at home and twice away, but due to the spate of rain-offs this season, that has now been reduced to once home, once away.
AJL co-ordinator Bryn Williams said: “Obviously it’s disappointing but it is realistic given the circumstances and I certainly wouldn’t rule out it being changed back for next season and beyond, nor the possibility of clubs arranging challenge matches if they have spare dates or of some other form of competition later this season IF the weather improves.
“After all, the prime aim is to give our developing, though relatively inexperienced, riders as much track time as proves possible.”
Thundercats are currently fourth in the league table, at the halfway stage of their programme with three more home fixtures to come.
